Stop the training ? Why ?

Did you notice sometimes, when you do the move, something ain't right ?

I tell you that: most of us, have the common mistake to see ourselves, repeating a move and questioning: am I doing this right ? Of course you have your Instructor or Professor right there to help, beside the kind teammate to short the answer. Foremost, I questioning myself as well (nobody is perfect right ?) You read perfectly right: I do ask and questioning my self times to make sure I am a good professor and in my deepest humble moments, I do ask to my students how apply correctly the move so everyone can learn proper.

Despite multi color belts or skill levels, or less, question is a valuable statement that a student make so he can reassure if he doing right the pass move.

Many of us can't be caught in our supremacy of the Black Belt and not listen ourselves times at times. But, if there's a lesson I learned; never interrupt the rollin/spar/live so you can flow with your teammate and he can focus in what he didn't caught enough.

I tell you that: do your session, after the class, you help the most cue points related that JiuJitsu session. That way: you don't interrupt yours so your partner.

How frustrated can be, you, does matter the belt you are, about to get close that pass; that sweep or submission, and your teammate stop to try correct you. Do it! Let the teammate do it!!!! Don't stop!!!! If a mistake was made, don't let the progress grow! But don't stop every minute to correct. That case, you babysitting. If the teammate is the one that ask a lot, kindly say: "Let's do this: we gonna roll, but we ain't stop, if anything happens, we chat with each other after class."

Simple right ? So, why stop overtime to correct or to be afraid to get tapped ?

Recently, I saw a video from a Brazilian Black Belt complaining about lower belts, in Brazil, that, barely can't pass the guard, do a sweep or apply a submission. In my dojo, for me, if you are one of those and don't know the basics, guess what ? : you will drill the basics until you be able to perform a live session.

How can you be a Blue Belt that can do all the basics ? If you are coming from an injury, chronic, maybe you need surgery, recovery and them come to train, but give an excuse, unacceptable!!! Let's make a point here: don't stop the training, don't talk when you training and the most tap if the guy have a submission. Is your bills getting lower ??? Are you gonna drive another car ?? If what matters for you is your pride, Jiu Jitsu ain't for you. Look for something else!!

All the comments, erros, misconceptions or confusions is totally responsable and account from me: Michel Porfirio Pereira. I assume totally responsibility from the message above, because, I won't stop for nothing to express my feelings from Brazilian Jiu jitsu.

Motivation

Motivation

A word that have a lot of meaning.
Some they have all the time. A few keep alive. Don't you ever think you lost it? You don't. You have it inside of you. Just sometimes need to be fire up. Not from you dad, brother or your best friend. But from somebody strong than you: your mind. Motivation can be light up with music or a tattoo that you dream about it. Motivation is a close word for me to wake up and do your best everyday because in someplace has someone doing better than you. Wake for life!!! Is short and if you don't take advantage for the opportunities that life preserve for you would be impossible for you get up and go. Those that just sit there and watch 10..20..30 minutes pass by and don't move a muscle will be the ones that in bright future won't be able to share any history or passage from they're life's.
Wake up that dragon you have inside of you and make a better day the next few hours. Our ancestries didn't have all technology from the days now and they tough us be a better person only with book and teaching from the daily basis. Believe, you can’t ever give up from a dream until become true.
If this message help you someway how make sure tomorrow you make a better day than today.
Make sure you are more productive.
Make some impact in your life.
She is short. Pass fast.
